About the Job
The Operations Officer will form part of a specialized multi-skilled Payments and Card Operations Team responsible for the day-to-day processing requirements of the various customers that are seeking operational solutions from RS2. As a key part of the operations team, the job holder will be a key advocate and supporter of continuous improvement changes, with the focus on delivering the highest possible standards to our customers. The successful candidate will be required work shifts covering the time zones of our global clients.
Schedule & Work Arrangement
Must be willing to work in a 24/7 shifting environment on a rotating schedule. Weekday shifts: Required to work onsite. Weekend and holiday shifts: Eligible to work from home, subject to operational requirements. Must be flexible to work day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed to maintain continuous operational coverage.
Responsibilities
● Assist in the preparation, validation and on-going review of Operational documents
● Ensure that systems and processes are operating correctly in accordance with clients’ requirements
● Manage and oversee the reconciliation process for all clients
● Respond to customer enquiries
● Client liaison where required
● Support Customer Service and other teams with Incident tracking and resolution
● Management of client chargebacks – Dispute management
● Maintain a good working knowledge of Card Scheme Rules by keeping up-to-date with the latest published regulations
Requirements
● Holder of a Diploma-level qualification, an equivalent certification, or higher.
● Solid qualifications in English Language.
● Proficiency in other languages would be considered an asset.
● Competence in using Microsoft Office and Business Software.
● Familiarity with processing environments, especially in card operations.
● Strong Risk and Security awareness.
● Chargeback/Dispute handling experience.
● Working experience in the Financial Services/Banking industry.
● Working experience of BankWORKS will be considered an asset.
● Pro-active mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision.
● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues autonomously.
● Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and follow through without waiting for instructions.
● A self-driven attitude with a focus on delivering results and contributing to team success.
