Senior Product Manager
Basis: Full time
RS2 Software is a publicly listed payment software and processing company serving major banks, payment service providers and other financial institutions all over the world. We are currently recruiting a Senior Product Manager for RS2 German office.
Senior Product Manager, as a key resource in the team, will help define and drive significant product decisions and strategies. He/she will be a major contributor as we build the next iteration of our market leading software – BankWORKS®
Senior Product Manager will be expected to come up with creative ideas, validate the fit between the product and the market and clients requirements, manage any possible constraints and drive the team towards successful deployment.
The Senior Product manager must also be willing and able to communicate across multiple levels within the business, with the engineering department in order to determine product release requirements.
The Senior Product Manager in business is usually an individual who possesses a blend of business and technical savvy and drive to transform a vision into reality.Senior Product Manager should be a highly driven, analytical team player with a positive attitude and the experience to lead product development teams through all stages of the product lifecycle. He/she needs to be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, and hold themselves accountable for results.
Product Line Lifecycle: The Senior Product Manager is responsible for managing the product line life cycle all the way from the strategic planning to tactical initiatives and implementation.
Collaboration: The position of Senior Product Manager demands a great deal of collaboration with numerous departments in the business. The Senior Product Manager works cross-functionally with the engineering, marketing, design, sales, and other departments. He works to develop strong relationships between all these departments that allow for the smooth and efficient flow of product activities and the establishment of trust with crucial partner teams.
An especially vital part of collaboration, the Senior Product Manager works hand in hand with technical departments in order to guarantee that they are constantly meeting clients’ needs and resolving issues as they emerge and evolve. For example, the Senior Product Manager will work closely with the engineering department in order to ensure that product specifications are followed to completion.
Recruitment: The Senior Product Manager is tasked with the interviewing and training, and in some cases also supervising the work of junior employees in the product line.
Product/Market Analysis: The Senior Product Manager regularly performs competitive, pricing, profitability analyses, which are used to recommend strategies that will improve the business’s product’s market position, enable cost reduction, and improve quality over product competition.
Product Strategy: The Senior Product Manager is tasked with the setting up of a product’s strategy. At this capacity, he is also expected, through relationships established with other departments, to influence acceptance and adoption of that strategy.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Management/Business Development role or equivalent
- Extensive experience in the banking/FinTech industry
- A talent for understanding customer needs and requirements
- Experience leading product development teams
- Proven track record of implemented and successful business development strategies
- Exceptional written and in-person presentation skills, in both English and German language
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure
- Ability to engage customers and ask them the right questions
- Attention to detail and the tenacity to make sure quality standards are high
- Ability to work with other internal teams in order to overcome any challenges or barriers to the successful product development and implementation.
