Human Resources and Administration Officer

Location: Malta

Basis: Full- Time

An exciting opportunity awaits a junior HR enthusiast aiming to make a career in a dynamic environment. The role will expose the successful candidate to a variety of different functions falling under the HR remit. Functions include, yet not limited to, recruitment; drawing up of adverts; heading of internal projects; coming up with initiatives to better HR function and overall company environment; and general administration tasks.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Handling all aspects pertaining to recruitment functions
  • Acting as point of contact for new recruits on company policies and procedures
  • Drawing up of ads based on information provided by department head/concerned managers
  • Keeping abreast with employment related requirements and pre-employment checks as necessary
  • Heading of internal projects pertinent to the HR function
  • Liaising with the various departments to obtain necessary information;
  • Resolving disputes between employees in the workplace
  • Assisting with the internal follow ups as necessary
  • Assisting with any other HR or Administration related tasks

Requirements

  • Be in possession of a University degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Psychology or a relevant field
  • Hold two years’ experience in an HR role, preferably within IT industry
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with a confident and positive personality. Having attention to detail, problem solving skills and service orientation would be considered a plus point
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise across different tasks and meet deadlines as per business objectives
  • IT proficiency: good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as ability to understand data and produce reports
  • Fluency in written and spoken Maltese and English
  • Conversant with Maltese Employment Law and other regulations
