Our History
In 1988, two senior banking executives – Reinhold Schäffter (our current Chairman) and Richard Stacks – saw the need for a new type of payment solution software. Together they founded RS2 Software and developed Bankworks as a core banking application which was first implemented in Germany.
RS2 was approached in 1990 by a European customer to deliver a full card management solution that could support cross-border transactions in multiple currencies.
Since then, the use of Bankworks has expanded around the world until it is now a truly global business. From those small beginnings, it is now a major public listed company providing services for over 130 clients in 24 countries, with offices in Germany, Malta, Middle East, Asia and the Americas.

| September 2, 2011New licences lead to surge in profits at RS2 Software plc RS2 Software p.l.c. published its Interim Financial Statements for the first half of the year 2011. The financial statements show a revenue of €4.7 million, a 67 per cent increase over the first six months of 2010.
