Radi El Haj 

Chief Executive Officer

Radi El Haj joined RS2 in 1997 after he finished is his Law studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz in Germany. His career at RS2 started as a Project Manager for Tier 1 European banks and he was responsible for the implementation of corporate card program.

After successful implementations, Mr El Haj was assigned to manage an issuing and acquiring project including ATM and POS management and MasterCard issuing in Eastern Europe and the migration of Middle Eastern Banks. Following his experience as a project manager running projects in various regions, he was promoted as a Customer Realtionship Manager for the entire Group.

Later in 2004, Mr El Haj was nominated to run the Sales and Implementation team for the Group. In this position, Mr El Haj managed to penetrate the North American market by signing up new clients involved in the Issuing and Acquiring business.

His international experience, professional contacts in various regions and by working closely with the Technial and Product Development Units within the Group, contributed in providing RS2's clients with a global compliant platform. In the cards and payments industry, Mr Radi El Haj specializes in the areas of Issuing, Acquiring, Clearing and Settlement, e-Commerce, General Ledger and Accounting.

Fiona Ciappara Cascun

Chief Financial Officer

Fiona Ciappara Cascun is a Certified Public Accountant and is responsible for the accounting and finance functions of the Company. She has obtained the Malta Institute of Accountants Degree while working with one of the ‘Big 4’ Audit Firms where she gained practical experience within the audit and tax departments of the Firm.

Fiona joined RS2 in 2003 as Accounts Officer and took over the position of Chief Financial Officer in 2005. During this time she has successfully completed her Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Leicester.

Godwin Schembri

Chief Technical Officer

Godwin Schembri joined RS2 in 1998 as a Project Manager after 4 years working as a software developer with other software vendors. He moved to the current post of Chief Technical Officer within RS2 in 2004. He has over 18 years experience in the software industry and has been involved in most aspects of software development. Having successfully completed a B.Sc. (Maths and Computing) and an MBA in eBusiness, he is adept at aligning technology with business requirements.

His main responsibilities include technology strategy, research and development, dealing with technology partners and the continuous improvement of Bankworks. Mr. Schembri is also a visiting assistant lecturer at the University of Malta and was a panel speaker at various payment technology conferences.

David Amato

Chief Project Officer and Head of Sales & Implementation

David Amato’s career started in the banking sector and for the past 15 years he has held various positions in the IT industry. He joined RS2 in 1997 in the role of Project Manager and in 2001 he was appointed to head RS2’s Project Management teams in Malta and Germany.

At RS2, David was key in introducing various project management methodologies within the Company and implementing numerous projects across the globe.
