Executive Director and Chairman of the Board
|Mr Schembri has extensive knowledge related to card management systems, with diverse exposure to the international card organisations including VISA International, MasterCard and DINERS Club International. Mr Schembri has extensive knowledge relating to retail banking operations, product management and co-ordination. Up to the time of joining the Company, Mr Schembri had been in the banking industry for 26 years. He joined RS2 in 1999 as Regional Manager, Mediterranean Region and took on the role of Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2006. Mr Schembri was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2008 and Chairman in January 2012.|
Radi Abd El Haj
Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer
Radi El Haj joined RS2 in 1997 after he finished is his Law studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz in Germany. His career at RS2 started as a Project Manager for Tier 1 European banks and he was responsible for the implementation of corporate card program.
After successful implementations, Mr El Haj was assigned to manage an issuing and acquiring project including ATM and POS management and MasterCard issuing in Eastern Europe and the migration of Middle Eastern Banks. Following his experience as a project manager running projects in various regions, he was promoted as a Customer Realtionship Manager for the entire Group.
Later in 2004, Mr El Haj was nominated to run the Sales and Implementation team for the Group. In this position, Mr El Haj managed to penetrate the North American market by signing up new clients involved in the Issuing and Acquiring business.
His international experience, professional contacts in various regions and by working closely with the Technial and Product Development Units within the Group, contributed in providing RS2's clients with a global compliant platform. In the cards and payments industry, Mr Radi El Haj specializes in the areas of Issuing, Acquiring, Clearing and Settlement, e-Commerce, General Ledger and Accounting.
Dr Robert Tufigno LL.D.
|Dr Tufigno, LL.D., has vast experience in company law, contract law, financial services, employment law, maritime law, sports law, telecommunications law and legislative drafting. Dr Tufigno, who is also an Arbitrator, has practised in the fields of general commercial law, property law and litigation. He has also acted as Chairman of Malta’s Employment and Training Corporation and as Chairman of Malta’s Housing Authority, and as past Board Director of Lohombus Bank. Dr Tufigno is a Partner of GTG Advocates.|
|Mr Xuereb joined Barclays Bank – Dominion, Colonial and Overseas – a UK-based Barclays Bank subsidiary company in 1954. He joined Mid-Med Bank in 1975 and occupied various managerial and executive positions. He held the positions of Assistant and Deputy General Manager in various areas, including audit, human resources, advances, administration, finance, marketing and PR. He was instrumental in the setting up of the Bank’s cards division and for several years occupied the position of Honorary Secretary of the Malta Banker’s Association.|
|Mr Azzopardi a Certified Public Accountant, spent twenty-seven years working in public practice. In 2007 he decided to exit the firm to contribute more in the strategic direction of companies. He specialises in corporate finance, reading also for an MSc and today sits on the Board and Audit Committees of various companies, both local and international, in the banking sector, software, venture capital and media, amongst others. As part of his social responsibility he also contributes towards the development of the Malta Institute of Accountants, and towards the research of creativity in business through participation in the Oikonomos Foundation.|
Dr Ivan Gatt LL.D.
|Dr Gatt LL.D. represents clients in a broad spectrum of substantive legal areas. Having vast experience in advising companies and board committees on corporate governance, he has facilitated a variety of transactions, including securities offerings, venture capital investments and corporate acquisitions. In addition, he assists clients with annual general meeting preparation and gives advice on numerous regulatory and compliance matters. Dr Gatt has presided over the Levy Appeals Board and the Customs and Excise Tax Appeals Board of the Ministry of Finance. Dr Gatt is the Managing Partner of GTG Advocates.|

RS2 promotes its card management system BankWORKS® at Cards and Payments 2012 in Abu Dhabi. The delegates showed demos to prospective clients of how the system and its modules work and how BankWORKS® can be adapted to the Shariah Islamic Law.

|September 2, 2011New licences lead to surge in profits at RS2 Software plc
RS2 Software p.l.c. published its Interim Financial Statements for the first half of the year 2011. The financial statements show a revenue of €4.7 million, a 67 per cent increase over the first six months of 2010.
